Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences
Rajiv Gandhi University of health science was established in 1996 with its
headquarters in bangalore. The objective of the university is to upgrade
standards of teaching, research, publication and dissemination of knowledge in
all the Health Science Institutions under one umbrella to standardize and
upgrade the standards of Health Science education.
There are 636 colleges conducting undergraduate course 138 institutions
conducting post graduation course and 6 institutions offering super speciality
courses on the field of health sciences such as Medical, Ayurveda, Homeopathy,
Unani and Para-medical under the jurisdiction of RGUHS in the state of
Karnataka. About 30,000 undergraduates, 3,000 post graduates and 17
super speciality students are admitted in different faculties of health science
in this university.
The university has a rich heritage of nurturing, nourishing and showcasing talents
in the Cultural, Literary and Sports arena.

Online transmission of Question Papers and The Bar Coding System of

D.A. Pandu Memorial R.V Dental College
The college was established in the year 1992, First affiliated to the Bangalore University, later
to RGUHS from 1996 and recognized by the Dental Council of India. The college and the
hospital are located in a spacious building and equipped with the latest equipments to treat
dental and oral diseases. The college has dedicated and experienced faculty members in all
the branches of dentistry. The college offers Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) course, that
is of 5 years duration including 1 year of compulsory rotatary intership and post graduates
courses in eight specialities of dentistry. The college has taken up massive work in the field
of community dental programme in rural areas. The equipment have been donated by the
church of Jesus Christ of latter Day Sanis, USA. The objective of this programme is to expose
our students to work in the rural setup of our country so that they will be able to work in
rural areas after graduation.
The institution has also kept in mind the recent advances in the field of dentistry in other
countries and in this direction the institution has arranged a number of CMDE programmes,
lectures and workshops by national and international speakers. This has enabled our students
and faculty members to acquaint themselves with the recent advances. The faculty members
have to their credit paper presentations in various national and international conferences and
journal publications. The institution has completed many research projects including one
sponsored by UNICEF, DRDO, New York University.
The trust is committed to making this institution a model training center in the field of
community oral health programme, so that, the health workers and professionals from all over
the world can utilize the services and interact with local health professionals for the benefit of humanity. |
